YUMMY GUMMY CANDY REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

The Make Your Own Chewing Gum, Make

Your Own Chocolate, and Make Your Own
Gummies Kits blend simple fun, terrific
taste, and hands-on learning for convenient use
at home and school. Each kit contains everything
needed to produce candy that kids love, and,
at the same time, affords an understanding of
the origins of the raw materials used to make
the final product. For example, the Gummies Kit
uses seaweed, which produces carrageenan,
as its gelling agent. And kids don’t just melt
chocolate chips with the Chocolate Kit. They
actually start from scratch, with cocoa butter,
cocoa powder, and sugar. As for the Chewing
Gum Kit – the gum base gets its start as the
sap from a Sapodilla tree, of all things! Each kit
includes a story about where the ingredients
come from, who harvests them, and how. In
today’s pre-packaged world, it’s often hard
to know where the things we eat
originate, and how they connect us
to the global community. These kits
make it easy and fun to find out!

Make Your Own

Gummies Kit

Make Your Own Gummies out of seaweed! Everything you need is included in this kit and it's easy! You can make your own gummi bears, gummi worms, gummi fish or any other shape. Make gummies on the stove or with a microwave. Great for class room activities, scout troops, birthday parties, home school, or after school groups. Adult supervision is recommended. Makes a great gift for kids (ages 8 & up)!
Inside each Make Your Own Gummies Kit you'll find: sour mix, colored and flavored sugar, powdered seaweed, seaweed, molding starch, instructions and the story of carrageenan.
All you have to do is wash the seaweed and boil it for a few minutes until the carrageenan is extracted. Then take out the seaweed itself, mix in the sugar, boil it again, pour it in the molds, and then add the sour mix! That's it - you have made your own yummy gummies!

Story

Gummi Bears From Seaweed?
We are all used to eating food from plants that grow in the earth - carrots, corn, raspberries... But how about food from plants that grown in the sea?
You might think of seaweed as the slimy green stuff you find on the beach. But it is more than that; in Japan and China people have been eating "sea vegetables" for hundreds of years.
Even if we are not used to collecting and eating whole seaweed, it is there hiding in many things that we eat and use every day – like toothpaste! With this Gummies Kit you get a chance to see seaweed work its invisible magic, yourself.

Ingredients

SUGAR, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, SEAWEED (NOT FOR CONSUMPTION), VEGETABLE GUMS (AGAR, CARRAGEENAN AND LOCUST BEAN GUM), CITRIC ACID, BEET COLOR, NATURAL FLAVORS, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. INCLUDES MOLDING STARCH FOR MOLDING PURPOSES ONLY.
