I CAN USE IT AS A STRAINER AND COOK NOODLES IN IT TOO. THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER THINGS THE CHEF BASKET CAN BE USED FOR. I LOVE THAT IT FOLDS FLAT AND TAKES UP BARELY ANY SPACE AT ALL IN MY CABINET.
