PREMAMA PRENATAL DRINK REVIEW

In October 2010, Premama Vitamin Drink started out as a socially-responsible initiative at Brown University. Given our passion for and experience in health, sports, and visits to local hospitals, our mission was to address problems in the area of nutrition.

Little did we know our chat with an expectant mom at a local Whole Foods would lead us to pursue the path of prenatal nutrition: that large “horse-like” prenatal pills can be difficult to swallow and often carry side-effects of nausea and constipation. What if we could develop a unique product with doctor-recommended prenatal vitamins and minerals that’s healthy, convenient, and comfortable for moms to drink?

In that instant, Premama was born.

After interviewing our moms, aunts, cousins, distant relatives, family friends, and over a hundred expectant mothers, we began to realize how real the discomforts of taking prenatal pills were. While a majority of the women were aware of prenatal vitamin health benefits, many simply stopped using them because the pills became unbearable. We learned that each year over 850,000 women in the United States suffer from pregnancy complications and birth defects—largely due to nutritional deficiency.

We gathered a team of obstetricians and gynecologists (OB/GYNs), nutritionists, pharmacists and health business experts and immediately delved into product development. We promised a prenatal nutritional beverage that was complete, all-natural, and easy-to-drink. With friends, family and numerous moms-to-be serving as samplers of Premama, we refined our product until everyone reached a consensus on nutritional effectiveness and taste. Our next step was to launch our company to market a flavorless Premama to OB/GYNs across the United States. After winning the 2011 Rhode Island Business Plan Competition, meeting with countless doctors, interviewing expectant moms, and receiving extremely positive feedback on our drink, we are proud to finally present Premama to market.

Pregnancy, we believe, should be as healthy, wholesome and comfortable as possible. Now moms and moms-to-be can feel good knowing Premama provides all the key prenatal nutrients for their babies and themselves—without the pain of the pill. At Premama, passion for your well-being is our motivation behind everything we do. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a positive part in one of the most important moments of your life.

It’s a Premama promise.

Moms, feel relieved.

That's right.
The days of prenatal pills are over.

Premama's filled with mom- and baby-healthy folic acid, iron, B vitamins, vitamin D and other good stuff for infant development.
It's even got ginger to help with nausea relief. Better yet? It's drinkable. Mix it with your favorite flavored beverage, yogurt, or oatmeal. Feel good.
Because your pregnancy should be both healthy and pleasant.
So go ahead, drink comfort.
                          MY REVIEW.
I was excited to try the premama prenatal drink since i am breastfeeding. I cant stand to take the prenatal vitamins. There such big pills. The ones i have leave a ginger taste in your mouth. I dont like that taste at all. I thought it would be great to be able to drink my vitamins. Boy was i wrong. I mixed teh drink mix up as directed. I then tasted it. oh my gosh this stuff tastes just like really strong fish. I eat fish and seafood all the time. I couldnt stand the taste of this drink at all. I even tried mixing it with yogurt and all i tasted was fish. i wont be drinking this again.

to buy this drink mix head over to premama prenatal.

disclaimer: i was given a sample product to try. i want compensated in any other way for this product. these are all my own opinions.
