POST GAME REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

The POSTGAME Difference
As an athlete, or the parent of an athlete, you know how important it is to take care of your body. There has been growing concern in recent years about the chemicals in personal care products and how they may be affecting us physiologically.
You know that POSTGAME has made the commitment to exclude chemicals like sulfates, parabens and phthalates from all of our products, but why?

Sulfates:

Sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate are common additives in shampoos and body washes, as they aid in the sudsing and lathering of the products. Sulfates are also found in most cleaning products like laundry detergents and even floor strippers!
Though they are known to cause both eye and skin irritation/eczema, as well as hair follicle damage, sulfates are still considered to be “safe” for use at this time. According to the Journal of the American College of Toxicology: “[Sulfates] appear to be safe in formulations designed for discontinuous, brief use, followed by thorough rinsing from the surface of the skin.” As an athlete, the amount you shower would be considered anything but “normal” and sometimes 3x more than “normal”. Multiple showers a day force more than “brief use” and lead Postgame to the simple decision to remove these toxic chemicals from our formulas.

Parabens:

(methyl, propyl, butyl, and ethyl) are the most commonly used preservatives in personal care products and cosmetics. Typically more than one paraben is used in combination, to inhibit microbial growth in formulations and help extend product shelf life.
Studies have shown possible links between exposure to parabens and cancer, and the FDA is continuing to evaluate new data in this area. Once again, “normal” usage versus excessive usage and our conclusion is simple : we’d be better without them!

Phthalates:

Commonly used in personal care products to enhance the fragrance, phthalates also show up in vinyl flooring, lubricating oils, food packaging and detergents.
Studies have shown phthalates to be hormone-disrupting chemicals, which are suspected of causing damage to the kidneys, liver, lungs and reproductive organs. The FDA has included phthalates on its program priority list in recent years and continues to monitor their usage and effects. Unfortunately, manufacturers are not required to list phthalates on product labels, making them difficult to avoid. You won’t find any in POSTGAME’s product though!
At POSTGAME, we prefer to just avoid all of these chemicals! We think that old adage “Better safe than sorry” applies well here especially when the amount of times a day an athlete showers is considered.
In fact, based on our own research and development, we’re confident that we provide superior products you’re going to love, without including any of these chemicals. Add in refreshing sport fresh scents that are not overwhelming, extra lotion and conditioner that leaves your skin and scalp hydrated, its easy to see why Postgame is quickly becoming the product of choice for all athletes from little league to the Pro’s.
Great performance, with safety consciousness in mind. You can trust POSTGAME to bring you our best, every time!
