                                                 ABOUT MIMI ALEXANDER

Last Christmas(2010) my mother and I decided we should put our creative heads together and make a pair of matching fancy serving aprons for my Sis-in-law and adorable neice as presents. We discovered that throughout the design and sewing process we worked amazingly well together, playing on each other's strengths. We found out that we loved working together and thought that maybe, just maybe we should start making what we love and let our inner child run wild with imagination. Drawing inspiration from my "Mimi" who was always so posh and my Grandma Alexander who was a quilter and folk artist with an eye for quirky color combinations, Mimi Alexander was born. My mother has been sewing since the age of five and has a creative bent toward costume design. I remember my mom was always being crafty and made the cutest costumes. She started teaching me how to sew about 7 years ago and I started out making dresses for my daughter. And I couldn't just make any dress, it had to be cute, and classic with a little "something" extra added in! Our inspiration comes from everything from classic children's storybook illustrations and Victorian couture to modern art and any thing odd, whimsical, quriky and fun!

I WAS SUPER EXCITED TO HAVE THE HONOR OF REVIEWING SOME BEAUTIFUL HAND CRAFTED HEADBANDS FOR MY GIRLS. I LOVE THE DETAIL AND COLOR COMBINATIONS ON THE HEAD BANDS WE RECIEVED. YOU CAN TELL THAT AT MIMI ALEXANDERS THEY TAKE THE TIME AND PUT ALOT OF TIME AND EFFORT IN TO THERE HAND CRAFTED CREATIONS. MY GIRLS LOVE THERE HEADBANDS THEY RECIEVED. BOTH OF MYGIRLS HAVE GOTTEN SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON THERE HEADBANDS.EVERY TIME MYGIRLS WEAR THERE HEADBANDS AND WE GO SOME WHERE SOMEONE ALWAYS SAYS I LOVE THERE HEADBANDS.
